Update for October 2009

The Philippines is in a state of emergency especially in Metro Manila with a population of twelve to fifteen million residents of which thousands are without the usual and regular supply of food, safe drinking water, clean dry clothing, basic medical care, or a safe and dry place to sleep.  It is the worst flood since 1967.  It is a grim reminder of what the victims of Katrina went through as thousands of homes were flooded and washed away. In times like this, it is an opportunity for us to arise and shine and see God's glory in the midst of darkness. We are th salt and light of the earth.

We have been busy doing our part to distribute new clothing for all age groups, giving free medicine, food and clean water.  But the need is so great, we need a lot of help financially to continue helping these people in desperate situations.  We are but one organization among many but together we are making a big difference.  Your generous giving is going to a great cause. Together we are impacting lives of thousands of people. Most of all, these people are reminded of God's love and that He is the answer to all our problems. 

" Blessed is he who considers the poor;

The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive,

And he will be blessed on the earth;

You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.

The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness;

You will sustain him on his sick bed."     Psalm 41:1-3
